Privacy

Bookstur is a local reading library. It does not ask you to create an account.

• Reading memories, reflections, and photographed passages are stored on your device.
• Bookstur does not upload those notes to Bookstur servers.
• On-device suggestions, when your iPhone offers them, stay on the device. They are not sent to Bookstur or to a hosted language model.
• Looking up a book may send a title, author, or ISBN to Open Library. That lookup does not include your private notes.
• The camera is used to scan ISBN barcodes and, if you choose, to read a short passage on the device. Those images are not uploaded.
• You can export a JSON backup and choose where it goes. Import can merge with your library or replace it.

Bookstur does not offer cloud backup, sync across devices, or account deletion, because there is no account.
